The Story Behind Club 21 Basketball ​Club 21 Basketball was founded with a deep love for the game and a stronger love for community. The name “Club 21” holds personal significance, it comes from the jersey number 21, proudly worn by Thomas (co-founder) and Bobbie-Leigh, the daughter of co-founder Glenn. This number is a tribute to their legacy on the court and the unity they now bring to the club. The vibrant colours of our logo, green and purple, reflect the personalities and preferences of our founders. Green for Bobbie-Leigh and purple for Thomas. These colours now proudly represent the club's spirit, energy, and identity.  Thomas and Glenn first met through their local basketball community, where their shared passion for the sport sparked a friendship and a vision. That vision grew into Club 21; a space where athletes of all backgrounds could come together, develop their skills, and feel a true sense of belonging. At the heart of our logo is the wolf, symbolising the close-knit, family-like bond we foster at Club 21. Just like a wolf pack, we support one another, play as one, and grow together. When you join Club 21, you're not just joining a team, you're becoming part of our basketball family.  Our uniforms also feature Māori design elements, representing strength, unity, and identity. These patterns remind us that our journey is rooted in more than just sport, it's about culture, connection, and pride. Finally, our bold and edgy logo captures the fast, physical, and street-inspired nature of 3x3 basketball, the format we specialise in. It’s fierce, dynamic, and reflects the grit and passion we bring to every game
